Rheinaldt Moagi enrolled at the Opera School at the Technikon Pretoria 2001 to 2003. During 2007 he sang the role Gaston in "La Traviata" by Guiseppe Verdi produced by Classic Music Productions Windhoek, Namibia. He performed the role of King Solomon in the Opera Africa production of "Princess Magogo" by Professor Khumalo in Oslo, Norway. During early 2008 he sang the role of The Messenger in Opera Africa's production of "Aida" by Guiseppe Verdi. IN September 2008 he sang with Renee Fleming during her tour at the South African State Theatre and in 2010-2011 he joined the Cape Town Opera Studio. He went to Israel to train for three intensive months under Opera Israeli and to sing with Patricia McCaffrey. In 2012 he performed in "Porgy and Bess" during Cape Town Opera's tour to the United Kingdom and in thesame year he was chosen for the role of Hoffman in "The Tales of Hoffman."
In 2013 he performed the role of Bucchus in "Ariadne Auf Naxus" at the University of Michigan. He qualified for the 33rd Hans Gabor Belvedere International Singing Competition where he obtained a 3rd Prize Opera 2013 Award and was also announced the winner of the International Media Prize and the Audience Prize awarded by Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf - Duisburg. In the same year he sang the role of Pinkerton in "Madame Butterfly" by Puccini with Cape Town Opera.
